Immortalised by Pierre Loti, the deep sea fishing on the cod banks of Iceland has left a great mark in the history of Paimpol-Goëlo and its inhabitants : from the Croix des Veuves or Widows's Cross, where the women waited, hoping for the arrival of late returning fishing boats, under the arches of the chapel to the moving memories or "ex voto" at Loguivy-de-la-mer and at the sea museum in Paimpol, the region continues to live the daily rhythm of the "tides", through its oyster farmers, fishermen and amateur sailors.

You can also discover the secrets and techniques of a skilled shore fisherman : Paimpol-Goëlo with its rocks and islands is a fine place for this activity.

Superb points of view over the Bréhat archipelago and numerous coastal paths will delight ramblers, canoeists and sailors. Treat yourself to a trip on an old sailing ship
